How to be a phone-tossing champion… Or five other fun ways to use your smart phone!

As Usain Bolt has announced that he intends to defend his Olympic 100m and 200m sprint titles at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, across the world in Finland, training has began for a slightly more unusual sport… Phone-tossing.

Parity News reports that Finnish citizen Ere Karjalainen smashed the world record for phone-tossing this August when he threw his handset 101.5 meters (333 feet) during his country’s annual mobile phone-throwing contest. It is not known yet whether he will return next year to defend his title, but if you fancy a shot at beating his astounding record you had better start getting your throwing arm in shape!

However, if you are not quite ready to see how far you can chuck the phone you queued overnight in the pouring rain to get your hands on, then here are five more fun ways to use your smart phone….
